Obama wins a second term!

Last night saw President Obama win another 4 years.

Here are the results and the three web sites that used stats based on polling data and other information to predict the results.

  1. President Barrack Obama is our president for four more years. One of the most historic moments in American History of elections. There was a larger impact of youth votes, and youth campaigning that ultimately decided the election within the swing states. Specific swing states that were highlighted this election were Ohio and Florida. Ohio is where I had a personal privilege to canvass and encourage citizens of east Cleveland to vote for Obama, otherwise vote period. Everyone's voice needs to be heard even if they are stuck in the hood where they are more than likely complacent about elections or don't pay attention to them at all. It was important that our economy looked to aid all Americans, not just the rich.

  2. Its funny because Professor Sistrunk told us that in the future Texas will become a swing state and I totally agree. When you think about it, if Democrats can keep up this momentum then there should be no reason why a Democrat takes office in 2016. Personally I can see Hilary Clinton next in line. And if Texas does become a swing state, that spells trouble for the republican party. Because if Democrats get California, New York, and Texas; its a lost cause.

  3. I think the election was the most nerve-wracking of them all. It was such a great feeling to mail in the absentee ballot. There was a high increase in voter participation in ages 18-40. I agree that Texas could be a swing state in the next election.

  4. It's a great feeling to not only witness such a historical moment in black history but to know that I contributed my efforts towards it happening. Voting for the first time was a moment in my life I will not soon forget, especially since it was for our first african american president.

  5. I voted in my first election this past month! Even though I voted democrat Obama was unable to collect the electoral votes from my state because as of now we are a republican state. This year was its closes it has ever been to swinging Democrat. This has shown me my vote matters and eventually if others believe the same the state I reside in will be democrat for our next elections

  6. Im ecstatic that President Obama will be serving for another 4 years. This past term was extremely hard for him to complete his plan due to the house and senate being split. Also he had to play nice politics so he could win this second term. All the "change" that President Obama talked about will come into fruition this term.
